Sliding Monitor Interactive

Designer: Gyroscope

These 2 exhibits are typical of our “sliding monitor” exhibits. In each exhibit there is a monitor on a sliding track in front of a case or model. By sliding the monitor along the track the visitor explores in detail what is directly behind the monitor in the case.

In this version of the sliding monitor the background is an image of the model until you get to a spot on an island. Technically, we have to scroll through a large image of the background in sync with the monitor movement. When the visitor reaches a specific spot on an island, a video plays over the background giving the visitor more information about that island.
